Collin Pollard is a visual artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Pollard attended the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California, earning a BA in Art History and a Minor in Communication Design in 2016. He began his MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) in 2018. In 2020, he was awarded the “Most Outstanding Graduate Student in Photography” Honor.

Since graduating from SFAI in 2020, Pollard has continued to show his artwork in exhibitions, museums, and projects across the globe. His work has been publicly displayed in large-scale formats in New York City’s Times Square and fashion retailer La Maison Simon’s Canadian storefronts. Pollard has artwork in permanent collections such as the Boston Children’s Hospital, The Line SF Hotels, The George Washington University Speech and Hearing Center, and the CICA Museum. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including Vanity Fair UK, AnOther Magazine, Noice Magazine, and Ignant, among others.

While his studio practice is centered around photography, Pollard borrows the visual language from painting, sculpture, and collage. He creates mixed media photographic paintings exploring the line between the physical world and how it is digitally represented, often using humor and color at the forefront.
